Well well, I bet you never thought it'd get this far - but yes, the website is updated! It's been a real b*tch to finish it. I had no experience with Joomla at all when Perzik agreed to assist me in creating a new website for the map. Little did I know that so many other people knew just as little as I. When Perzik ran out of time to help, progress on the site stopped for a while (say, two years..), after which I decided it would be a waste not to try and finish it. Hence, I asked everyone I know that has skill and experience in making websites. Luck was not on my side, as none of them ever really worked with Joomla. Then, desperately, I created a post at the Joomla forum - a "cry for help". That's when I met Dreiph.
Perzik had already set up the database and most of the installation. One problem presented itself right away - my Joomla was outdated. With a little help from the forums, a lot of reading and some more manual tinkering, I managed to back-up my database and important files. Then, with even more hassle, I updated Joomla and even restored everything. Now, I had my site up and running, with a default template. That's where Dreiph came in. He offered to create a template for me. Only thing I had to do was supply the graphics. When I did, he even took the time to give me feedback and improve on them. From there, we sent a few photoshop files hence and forth until we decided it was a good template to work with. Within a day he cut up and prepared the template and behold - the site actually looked good! From there we improved the template and gfx part by part, ending up where we are now. Without Dreiph his help, this site would not have gotten as far as it did. During the process, I learned a lot about Joomla and CSS, so I will be able to maintain and update the site myself from this point on. None the less, I extend my thanks and appreciation to Dreiph, who took the time to help out a total stranger, selflessly spending the little time he had between work and other projects to help. Ofcourse, many people have helped me along the way; thus I invite you all to read the credits page and perhaps leave a message at the forum. Thank you!
